Abstract
The strategic objectives of rain water cistern system (RWCS)
In drinking water supply for rural areas are presented and discussed in this
paper. Strategic objectives have been classified to address the international
drinking water supply and sanitation decade (IDWSSD), the finances of RWCS
development, operation, and maintenance, as well as public health education,
and social well-being of the future .
The importance of solving the problems of drinking water
supply and the safe disposal of human waste simultaneously, are first
addressed, the finance strategy for RWCS development, operation, and maintenance
follows, and finally, the public health education and social. well-being
aspects are presented. The future of RWCS concludes the discussion.
