Philippine RWH Conference

The Second National Conference on Rainwater Utilization of the Philippines took place in Iloilo City, Panay Island, from December 2 - 5 2003. The event saw speakers from as far as Germany and Taiwan alongside those located in the Philippines, and with over 120 participants, there was a sizable audience. The topics covered included the extent of use or waste of rainwater why rainwater harvesting, rainwater for flood control, and for eco-sanitation and rainwater for industry. Examples from around the world, in both developing and developed countries ensured the conference had an international flavor, whilst showing the global relevance of the technology to those who had perhaps previously not been aware of its worldwide use.
